Single-plant pollen extraction process.
For specific projects and controlled crosses, pollen is collected from selected individual plants instead of using open pollination. In this run, a chosen donor plant is processed using a mechanical extraction system that separates and collects clean pollen.
Once collected, the pollen is carefully dried, filtered, and stored under controlled conditions to preserve viability and genetic integrity.
Working with single-plant pollen allows precise crosses, controlled breeding decisions, and the ability to move genetics safely between rooms, projects, or facilities.
Controlled breeding starts with controlled pollen.
