Description

She is an old school legend, multiple world champion with an insane resin profile earning her the name. One of the original strains from the 1980s that still ranks as an excellent choice for beginner growers and those who want the very best old school in autoflowering form.

A fast-growing strain and superbly reliable, that will be done as quickly as 9 weeks from seed to harvest, making her the perfect candidate for growers who want a quick turnaround time. She will produce incredible results outdoors and can withstand hot and cold weather with ease. Her flavors are a mix of spicy, earthy, and floral tones, and her effects are relaxing and great for social scenarios. Hash makers and extractors will go wild for White Widow Auto, as she is a trichome machine that will cake buds in resin and cover fan leaves with resin rails.

Bud description

The first thing that stands out from Original Auto White Widows’s buds, is the prolific resin content. Covered in trichomes from top to bottom, with a dark green hue and maroon brown pistils. The buds are light in weight, however have a large size meaning the flowers of this strain go a long way.

Smoke report

Thanks to her 20% THC, the effects are uplifting, clear-minded with an exciting buzz. She will fire the mind up and get all systems going, making her perfect for keeping organized and busy, keeping sharp and alert, and working through a to-do list. Her high is not too racy and will transcend into a relaxing state the more you smoke.

Plant Appearance

White Widow Auto will grow with even spacing between internodes and will produce one main cola. Her side branches will grow out and tall as she fills with silver coated, large-sized nugs in 9 weeks where she has the capability to yield 400-500gr/m2. Her leaf structure will be thin and long and she will not stretch too much once flowering begins, where she will mature to a size ranging from 70cm-110cm. She can also take on pink and magenta hues as she gets close to her harvest date, revealing her true beauty even further.

Grow Tips

A really easy to trim strain that is well known for its extreme resin profile. When trimming your plants, we advise you to collect all the leaf material to make hash or extracts with. She also performs incredibly well when grown in a Sea of Green and will not grow too tall. We recommend planting this hybrid outdoors until late in the year, as she can take colder and wet climates with ease, and during the hot summer months will really showcase her yield capabilities. Highly recommended to beginner growers new to autoflowering genetics that need a sturdy reliable strain that can be left to grow, with very little maintenance.

Flavor

A flavor that can be described as musky, spicy, earthy, and sweet. Smoking will reveal a bold taste of savory spices and dried fruits combined with earthy undertones. A particular taste that the old school generation will love.

I did an experiment
I tried growing one naturally, and one with some LST throughout the grow. After this experiment I would definitely recommend growing this strain with LST as the yield is massively improved.

Nest White Widow Auto I have found
WW is my all time favorite strain and I have grown several other breeders' versions of the WW Auto and FastBuds has my very very favorite - I include at least one in every grow! Easy to grow, very easy to top and train and the FASTEST finishing of them all - this combined with the perfect White Widow taste, scent and bag appeal make it #1 to me!!! <3 CWC

And it’s not me as I did everything by the book - flushing, curing etc. Smells like some kind of insect and tastes tart.

Disappointment of the year
I can’t understand the hype. It’s just an average strain at best. In my case every other auto in the tent was better.

A nice outdoor auto, big and high-yielding
I grew her organically and didn’t even use LST. She finished at under 3 feet with big spaces between the nodes and flowers and leaves completely covered in crystals. She would be perfect for ice hash makers but I just smoke this one in joints. The trim leaves make me a bit sleepy and the calyxes give me energy. If I grind them together, the smoke is just perfect for a great chillaxed mood.

a very good plant, with huge rock hard colas
the smoke wasn’t really my cup of tea, I liked the taste of the Sour Diesel that I grew next to her better, so I turned my widow into a nice ball of rosin and dab it from time to time. It produes a 100% Sativa effect, all in the head, no body stone, very stimulating

She's tough
Easy to grow and very resilient. You could probably throw her down a flight of stairs and she'd still be ok. Beautiful eurphoric stone and a buzzy body high. Makes going to bed a treat. Terpenes are very interesting. Dried plum, apricot, pear and fig with culinary spices. A nice earthiness and a good kick of pine on the exhale. Definitely musky, so something a little different from the crowd.

Question:
Q:
I'm starting my first grow in coco, when should i start feeding my white widow?
Answer:
A:
Thanks for asking! You should start feeding as soon as the first pair of true leaves have completely developed.

Question:
Q:
I have found white spots all over the leaves. What could it be?
Answer:
A:
Hello! They could be bug bites but if it's a fine white powder it could be powdery mildew.

Question:
Q:
I want to try growing this in hydro. Is there anything I should keep in mind?
Answer:
A:
Thanks for asking! Growing in hydro is a bit different from growing in soil but as long as you maintain good conditions and pay attention to your plants' needs everything will be fine.

Question:
Q:
How should I germinate fast buds seeds?
Answer:
A:
Thanks for asking! We recommend soaking the seeds in a cup of water for up to 48hs to help soften the shell and then placing them in a paper towel until the radicle is around 3cm long.

Question:
Q:
How can I make my soil less compact?
Answer:
A:
Hi! You can use coco fiber or perlite to improve your soil's texture.

Question:
Q:
Help! The temperature got very high, around 35ºC for the last week and now I'm worried about my plant. What can I expect happen to her?
Answer:
A:
Hi! If the high temperatures last longer than a day or two, you will start to see the leaves get droopy and it can affect growth if it stresses her too much.

Question:
Q:
What type of training would be best for this strain?
Answer:
A:
Hello! You can top this strain if you have experience with autos, if not, you will have great results with scrog or tying down the branches.
by Trevillion 29 September 2020

Question:
Q:
this morning the leaves have started to point down, why is this?
Answer:
A:
Hi! Droopy leaves can be caused by a high (or low) temperature or overwatering. If the temperatures oscillate at night you should build a simple structure to be able to cover your plant with a plastic tarp to protect her.
