The Side of Breeding No One Shows
This is something most breeders will never show you.
After completing a large phenohunt of photoperiod genetics, we carefully tested and evaluated every phenotype from this run. Structure, vigor, terpene profile, flower formation, stability, every plant was observed and documented before making the final selections.
From the entire population, we selected the genetics that will move forward into the next stages of our breeding program.
And now comes the part that hurts.
More than 6.3 kilograms of top-quality flowers are being destroyed. Dense, beautiful buds with incredible aromas, many of them could easily be considered premium cannabis.
But this is the reality of professional breeding.
Once the selections are made, the remaining material from breeding trials cannot be used or distributed. Under the rules of our license, it must be officially destroyed. So yes, it’s painful to watch.
But breeding has always been about ruthless selection. Not every great plant makes it forward, only the few that truly represent the future of the line.
This is the side of breeding that people rarely see.
