Last year we had the pleasure to participate in the Autoflower World Cup 2022 where we did not only have the chance to get to know our supporters and celebrate all things autoflowers but also compete against the best seed banks in Europe in the ‘Best Sativa’, ‘Best Indica’, ‘Best CBD’ and Best New Strain’ categories in which our we won:
- 1st Place - Gorilla Punch Auto for ‘Best Sativa’
- 2nd Place - Gorilla Cookies Auto for ‘Best Indica’
- 3rd Place - Gorilla Zkittlez Auto for ‘Best New Strain’
Needless to say, it was an honor to participate in this competition and the results just reaffirm what we already knew, all the hard work and effort put into selecting and breeding our genetics is recognized and appreciated by growers all over the world.
1. The Autoflower World Cup
Held in Barcelona, Spain, the first edition of the AWC held in 2021 welcomed everyone looking to get to know the latest and possible best autoflowering genetics on the market while also learning more about the history of this type of cannabis and autoflowers in general.
Being one of the first and few seed banks dedicated strictly to autoflowers, we wanted to be a part of this beautiful competition, not only to show the world the potential of our most recently released strains but also to meet seed banks and autoflower specialists as this is not just another competition but the most important autoflower-only event in Europe, which also makes it a great place to network with like-minded individuals.
2. Gorilla Punch Auto Takes the 1st Place!
In 2022, the second edition of the Autoflower World Cup (AWC) was held at the OG Club in Barcelona, gathering the best of the best growers and breeders who competed in the ‘Best Sativa’, ‘Best Indica’, ‘Best CBD’ and ‘Best New Strain’ categories where experienced judges blindly tried all entries and selected the best of the best based on the overall smoking experience.
Needless to say, on March 12th, 2022 during the awards ceremony our newly released Gorilla Punch Auto, our beautiful purple strain with 26% THC took 1st place home in the ‘Best Sativa Strain’ category, but it doesn’t stop there...
One of our bestselling strains of all time, Gorilla Cookies Auto, took 2nd place in the ‘Best Indica Strain’ category, and our remarkable Gorilla Zkittlez Auto (which most recently took 1st Place at Dabadoo Brazil also took 3rd place home in the ‘Best New Strain’ category.
On March 10-12, 2023, we expect to bring in even more awards as the Autoflower World Cup is coming back bigger than ever, with more categories, more brands, and breeders who will compete for the most prestigious autoflower awards. Obviously, the whole Fast Buds team will be present in the 2023 edition of the AWC, we invite you all to come and make history together!
