It all started with Purple Lemonade Auto, a cross between our Lemonade keeper and the legendary LSD-25. The result exceeded every expectation. Mangoo Cherry Runtz is one of those projects where everything came together exactly as we'd hoped. It was created as part of our 2026 Champions Line by crossing two award-winning genetics that had already proven themselves on the international stage.
One parent is Mango Runtz, winner of Best New Strain at the 2025 Autoflower World Cup, selected for its exceptional tropical terpene profile. This F3 three-way polyhybrid combines Strawberry Banana Auto, Tropicana Cookies Auto, and Bruce Banner Auto. After several generations of selection, we ended up with a vigorous plant that consistently expressed a unique terpene profile unlike anything else in our collection.
During the final phenotype selection, the whole team was passing jars around, smelling flowers, and trying to describe the aroma. It wasn't the usual sweet candy, tropical fruit, or citrus profile we were used to. Instead, it reminded us of warm baked apples wrapped in pastry, more like apple pie than fresh fruit. Then one of our German team members looked up and said, "It smells just like Apple Strudel." The name stuck immediately.
Since then, Apple Strudel has built a reputation of its own. It has earned several cannabis awards, particularly in Germany, where the terpene profile has been especially well received.
