450 individuals were started for this project. From these, only ~100–110 will be retained as the active breeding population for this generation.
First selection is based on plant strength, development speed and overall structure. A second selection takes place mid-cycle, where structural traits and terpene expression begin to be evaluated.
The final selection happens shortly before the end of the cycle. At this point, only 2–3 “keepers” remain, the foundation individuals held to continue development into the next generations.
