3. Germination And Seedling Stage | Week 1

Creating optimal conditions in your indoor grow space is crucial to ensure a successful cannabis cultivation journey, especially during the critical early stages when your seedlings are most vulnerable. It's important to provide the right environment by maintaining a warm temperature and ensuring proper humidity levels. Look in the table below to see what we mean.

When it comes to germinating cannabis seeds, there are a couple of popular methods you can choose from. One method involves placing your seeds in a glass of water and allowing them to soak until they crack open and reveal the taproot. This approach can be effective, but it requires careful monitoring and attention.

Another widely used and more foolproof method is the wet-paper-towel technique. Simply dampen a paper towel, place the seeds on it, fold it gently, and keep it in a warm, dark place. This method provides a controlled environment for the seeds to sprout within a few days.

Once your seed has successfully sprouted and the taproot has reached a length of about half an inch (a little over 1 cm), it's time to carefully transfer it to the chosen growing medium. Take care to handle the delicate sprout with gentle hands to avoid damaging the root.

During the initial weeks, it's important to refrain from providing any additional nutrients to your young seedlings. They have enough nutrients stored in the seed to sustain them for the first week or two. Overfeeding during this delicate stage can lead to nutrient burn and hinder healthy growth.

Finally, don't overlook the importance of using quality water for your plants. Just like humans, cannabis plants benefit from clean, fresh water. Avoid using water that contains high levels of chlorine or other harmful chemicals. If necessary, you can let tap water sit out for a day to allow any chlorine to dissipate before using it to water your plants.

4. Early Veg | Week 2

During the second week of your seedling's life, creating the ideal environment remains crucial. Pay close attention to temperature and humidity, ensuring they are within the optimal range. Additionally, be mindful of the distance between your light source and the plant, maintaining appropriate exposure to light to prevent any potential leaf damage as well as excessive stretching.

Week 2 grow conditions.

As your seedling progresses, exciting developments are underway. The leaves are growing larger, a promising sign of growth. However, what's even more fascinating is the emergence of small side branches, especially in bushier strains. It's as if the plant is preparing itself to showcase its leafy potential.

Lets touch briefly on the art of training. We say briefly because Cream Cookies Auto is a naturally compact plant and can be left alone even if you don’t have much vertical space. Only one grower in our guide took the training seriously and started to LST his seedling early on.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: early veg | week 2 | a young weed plant tied down and secured with thick wire

The central stem is secured at the base with one wire and bent down with another. ©DigrowingMj

The purpose of training is to guide your plant's growth and encourage a bushier structure. Gently bending and securing the main stem is often more than enough as it promotes the necessary amount of lateral growth. Reserve more high-stress methods like topping or FIMing for photoperiod strains or growers with experience and confidence.

Watering your seedling correctly is a more pressing matter at this stage. Strive for precision by providing the appropriate amount of water at regular intervals. Overwatering can lead to root suffocation, while underwatering can cause stress and hinder growth. Aim for a balance, allowing the soil to slightly dry out between watering sessions, which promotes healthy root development.

When the leaves are drooping, it might mean water stress. Or maybe the plant is just tired. ©DigrowingMj

Now, let's address the topic of nutrients. If you're growing in soil, your plants may benefit from supplemental nutrients starting from the second week. As the stored nutrients within the medium deplete, your seedling may require a boost to support its growth. Conversely, if you're utilizing coco coir or hydroponic systems, such as DWC, providing nutrients right from the beginning is essential. These nutrients supply the necessary elements for your plant's growth and overall development.

For novice growers, organic cultivation methods provide the safest approach. By incorporating natural amendments and beneficial microbes, organic practices foster a healthy growing environment. Consider inoculating your medium with beneficial microbes to enhance nutrient absorption and promote overall plant health.

5. Mid Veg | Weeks 3-4

During weeks 3 and 4, get ready to indulge in the rapid growth of your Cream Cookies Auto as the autoflower moves through the vegetative stage and prepares to start budding. While we encourage you to be at your A-game in terms of maintaining the optimal environment, don’t fret too much if the conditions fluctuate – your plant is a big girl now and can handle some adversity.

With this predominantly Indica strain, you can expect a compact and robust plant that stays close to the ground, making it easier to manage and cultivate. It’ll continue to thrive without the need for extensive training – its natural growth pattern ensures a bushy and low-profile plant, allowing you to enjoy its beauty without the added effort of additional interventions.

Feeding your Cream Cookies Auto with the right nutrients is essential for optimal development. During the vegetative phase, this strain has a particular fondness for nitrogen (N), which promotes lush green foliage and vigorous growth. So, while providing a well-balanced nutrient mix, ensure that nitrogen levels are sufficient to meet the plant's needs during this crucial period. Of course, the NPK levels aren't the whole story, so make sure the diet includes all the essential micronutrients, too.

As your Cream Cookies Auto continues to flourish, keep in mind that during the flowering phase, new branches won't emerge. This means that you should promote the emergence of new branches and bud sites now, during the last leg of the vegetative stage. By maintaining an effective canopy and providing the appropriate nutrients, you set the stage for a fruitful and rewarding harvest.

Indulge your Cream Cookies Auto with the care she deserves, ensuring a harmonious balance of nutrients, light, and environmental conditions so that she arrives at the starting line of the budding stage in the best possible shape.

6. Transition (Pre-Flower) | Week 5

Week 5 is usually the time when your auto hits the pre-flowering stage. Be sure to keep things relatively consistent in your home garden. Daytime temps around 73-77°F (23-25°C) are on the money, with nights a bit cooler. As for humidity, aim for that sweet spot of 40-50% and don't forget to keep the lights on for a solid 18-24 hours per day—your autoflowers aren't picky about changing the light schedule for budding.

Week 5 grow conditions.

This stage is when a very exciting thing happens: white hairs called pre-flowers pop up in the middle of your plant and then spread to the top. Photoperiod strains can drag this stage forever if you give them more than 14-16 hours of light a day. But with autoflowers, it’s different – they’ll get the flowering show on the road in no time.

Get ready for the tops of your autoflower to go through a color transformation. They'll first turn a yellowish hue and then start rocking those luscious white hairs and delicate threadlike leaves. That's when you know your autoflower is heading full speed towards harvest.

It’s no secret that whether you're growing Indica or Sativa autos (or hybrids with different percentages of these two), they're all in sync when it comes to flowering. Modern autoflowering varieties all start to bud around the same time, thanks to breeders who keep pushing the boundaries of speed.

As for feeding, there's no rush to switch up your nutrient game just yet (that'll come later), but most growers like to keep things simple and make the change during this stage. They swap out their nitrogen-rich potion for one that packs more phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), the dynamic duo that helps your buds thrive.

By the time you reach this stage, your autoflower's canopy might be feeling a bit crowded, like a wild jungle party. Don't panic! It's time to unleash your leaf-tucking skills or get those scissors out for some light defoliation and pruning of the lower and middle branches. Give your plant a little grooming love now, and it can focus all its energy on rocking those gorgeous flowers without stressing out in the future.

7. Early Flower | Weeks 6-7

Weeks 6 and 7 mark the captivating period when your Fast Buds autoflowers truly begin to flourish. Knowledgeable cultivators now make subtle adjustments to optimize their environment. Consider a slight reduction in temperature to create a cozy haven for your plants. Additionally, paying attention to humidity becomes crucial as your buds commence their journey to become plump and gorgeous.

Weeks 6-7 grow conditions.

The first thing you’ll witness is the flowering stretch when the plants exhibit extraordinary growth and expand their branches with vigor. During this phase, you’ll witness a remarkable surge, often resulting in a doubling of size within a mere fortnight.

The stretch is considerable, but the budding goes full-steam, too. ©Tripaholic88

As your Cream Cookies Autos flourish, you may encounter such challenges with the canopy as the excessive foliage hindering airflow or casting shadows upon lower bud sites. However, a judicious trim or pruning can provide ample room for optimal development, ensuring every bud receives its fair share of light and air.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: early flower | weeks 6-7 | a side view of a medium-size manifolded and heavily defoliated autoflower

The size and weight of flowers at this juncture may disappoint you, but everything will come in good time. These nascent flowers are in their early stages, but given time and patience, they are sure to evolve into supersized dense colas, probably even exceeding your expectations.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: early flower | weeks 6-7 | a flowering weed plant indoors seen from above and a closeup of its immature bud

In this period, your green companions develop an increasing thirst. Younger plants may require hydration every few days, while more mature specimens may ask for watering every other day, or even daily. You can employ the failsafe technique of lifting the container to gauge its weight. If it feels light to you, it shows you the perfect timing for irrigation.

Now it’s time to say a few words about such an important subject as plant nutrition – a topic close to every cultivator's heart. Your cannabis plants exhibit heightened appetites during the flowering phase. It is time to enhance your feeding regimen, gradually increasing nutrient doses to meet their growing demands. However, you must remain vigilant, carefully monitoring your plants' health to prevent excessive feeding that may cause more harm than good.

During this transformative period, your plants require specific nutrients to support flowering. Phosphorus and potassium take center stage, orchestrating the grand spectacle of floral production. As nitrogen's importance diminishes when the increase in the green mass stops, you must exercise caution, for an excess of this element could lead to undesirable outcomes. We mean that the leaves may become dark green, displaying the signs of nitrogen toxicity and, more importantly, the development of flowers may slow down because of it.

8. Mid Flower (Bulk Phase) | Weeks 8-9

Around weeks 8 or 9, it's time to see those Cream Cookies of yours start bulking up. But here's the deal: you should pay attention to airflow and humidity more than ever now. Stale air is like an open invitation for mold, bud rot, and other gross fungal infections, and those dense flowers are their dream playground.

Weeks 8-9 grow conditions.

When your cannabis is feeling good in its environment, those little flower buds will gradually cover the branches and leave no gaps, turning into those long and fat colas we all love. They get denser on the inside too, but don't get too excited just yet because the pistils still look greenish-white and not quite ready to harvest.

Cream Cookies Auto, like the best autoflowers out there, starts getting really frosty as it enters this stage. That's because resin glands called trichomes start showing up on the calyces and the nearby leaves. These trichomes are packed with THC and other good stuff, so that sugary look means serious potency coming your way at harvest time. Oh, and they also carry terpenes, the aromatic substances that give weed its smell. Get ready for some serious stink in your grow room!

Even before those buds bulk up, marijuana plants generally stop stretching. They pretty much stay the same size until harvest. Check out the table below to see what to expect from Cream Cookies Auto week by week when you're growing it indoors.

Now you can relax about your autos growing out of control. It's time to focus on what truly matters: watering and nutrients. This is actually the last stage where you'll be feeding your cannabis, so make it count.

Phosphorus and potassium are the real stars now. If you don’t have enough of them in your regular nutrient mix, grab some standalone PK-booster. These will be the last rich meals for your Cream Cookies before we start gradually reducing the feeding and finish off with plain water only.

9. Ripening And Harvest | Week 10 (And Beyond)

During this stage, you’re nearing the climax of your growing adventure—the glorious harvest! But before you whip out those pruning shears, let's take a moment to soak in some essential tips. First, you need to control the humidity. You don't want any mold or fungi crashing the bud party. Keep that air flowing and aim for a humidity level that won't turn your dense flowers into a tropical rainforest.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: week 10 grow conditions

Week 10 grow conditions.

As you approach the end of the breeder's estimated timeline, the buds of your Cream Cookies autoflowers are getting dressed up for the occasion. Those pistils – the little hairs on your buds – serve as a rough indicator of whether the harvest is near or not . If they're still rocking a youthful white, it's not time to bust out the scissors just yet. But when those pistils start strutting shades of brown or orange, get ready for the harvest.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: ripening and harvest | weeks 10 | an unkempt-looking but productive autoflower agains a black background

Judging the ripeness of your buds by the color of their pistils isn’t very reliable, so grab your magnifying glass and dive deep into the trichome world. Seen under a microscope, they should all be milky with a sprinkle of amber. That's the green light for you – your buds are at the peak now and should be harvested right away!

But don’t just sit on your hands waiting till this coveted moment of trichome nirvana without doing something else first. Sometime before the day of the harvest, you’ll need to cut off the plant food supply and give your autoflower a thorough flush with plain water.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: ripening and harvest | weeks 10 | a medium-size autoflower with several same-size purplish colas and a closeup of one of those colas

Purple buds -- a dream come true of most growers. ©JohnnyBlaze

Remember that flushing takes a bit of time. If you're growing in soil, buckle up for a two-week ‘detox’ while hydroponic setups speed things up a little, clocking in at around a week.

Cream Cookies Auto cannabis strain: ripening and harvest | weeks 10 | a mature indoor autoflower with many leaves removed and the rest faded and with very dense-looking bulging buds plus a closeup of one of such buds

Finally, drying and curing are the finishing touches to elevate your buds to superstar status. Don't rush this process. Give your buds the time they deserve to dry properly. Hang those branches to dry slowly for about 5-7 days, then snip them and tuck them into glass jars for a 3-week curing session. Open those jars occasionally to give a breath of fresh air for your buds and let the magic unfold.

10. The Outcome

The outcome was short of amazing for all 4 growers featured in our week-by-week guide. As you can see from the table below, Cream Cookies may be not the fastest-flowering auto out there, but the final haul is worth the wait. This strain is a reliable and consistant indoor producer of top-shelf bud.

Cream Cookies Auto Yield

For Grower A, Cream Cookies Auto was the most generous as he harvested 275g (9.71 oz) of nicely trimmed dry buds from just one plant.

Cream Cookies Auto Smoke Report

The smoke reviews for Cream Cookies Auto highlight a common theme of its potency, creamy and sweet flavors, and its ability to induce relaxation and sleep. The aroma and taste are described as having notes of sweet cream, cookies, mixed berries, and vanilla, creating an enticing sensory experience.

The strain's effects are consistently praised for their strong Indica high, making it ideal for nighttime use or for unwinding after a challenging day. While it can provide a couch-lock sensation if consumed in higher quantities, it is also mentioned as a good daytime smoke that doesn't hinder daily activities when consumed in moderation. Cream Cookies Auto is recommended for its calming and soothing effects, making it a versatile choice for both solo relaxation and social enjoyment.

10. In Conclusion

Based on our Cream Cookies Auto gow guide and the diaries we've been following, this strain has the perfect bush structure for indoor cultivation and can be adapted to almost any setup.

Grower A, the most successful one in our guide, chose the least invasive growing method. He took advantage of this strain's tendency to bush out and form long side branches which allowed him to keep the canopy relatively short and flat. It was also super dense. Many growers would defoliate their autos like crazy, but this gardener never removed any foliage except right before the harvest. His Cream Cookies Auto looked sprawling and unkempt, but no stresss distracted her from the business of flower making, an the outcome was more than generous. If your light is bright enough and has good penetration and the ventilation is adequate, we suggest following the same route.

Grower B trained his plant quite heavily in the late veg (but refraining from the high-stress techniques), and he defoliated her on several occasions. As a result, his Cream Cookies Auto looked perfectly symmetrical and ready for a glam shot at any moment of her life cycle. Whether it helped her productivity, is doubtful.

In case of Grower C, heavy training and defoliation didn't prevent Cream Cookies from producing a great number of buds of top quality. As a bonus, the plant was super compact, so it's a good example to follow for all those whose grow spaces are tight. If space isn't a problem, maybe try a more natural approach and see if you can get even more spectacular results.

Grower D didn't bother with training, and his plant grew naturally bushy, with side branches competing with the central stem although not quite catching up with it. We don't know what light he used, but evidently, it was powerful enough to reach all the way down becuase the colas were long and fat.

We hope that you've found our week-by-week guide informative enough and that our tips will help you achieve perfection in your own indoor garden. Happy growing!
